Germantown Gables - Plant Lovers Dream Wedding Venue in Louisville, KY
If you love plants, and you’re looking for a wedding venue in 2025 in Louisville, Kentucky, I have just the place for you. Germantown Gables is a beautiful and diverse wedding venue located in the Germantown area in Louisville, KY. As a wedding photographer, I’m always on the lookout for venues to recommend to my couples, and Germantown Gables is definitely on the list.
They are so friendly and accommodating and work so hard to make the space fit your vision. They also have great communication, which I appreciate as a wedding photographer, and I know my couples appreciate, too!
One of my favorite things about Germantown Gables is that they have indoor and outdoor spaces, so you have lots of options and a built in rain plan. There’s a beautiful patio for cocktail hour or reception, a bourbon lounge with a built-in bar, and two large indoor rooms you could use for reception, ceremony, or cocktails. Not to mention, two getting ready rooms.
Another thing I love about this wedding venue is that they have a huge reception hall that’s absolutely filled with plants. They have curtains draped from the ceiling, hanging plants, and even a plant wall. (if you want to, you can have your wedding ceremony in front of the plant wall!) Most of them are live plants, too. If you are a plant lover, you have to check it out.
They offer two getting ready rooms and a bourbon lounge which gives a lot of space and flexibility for couples on their wedding day. You’ll have plenty of room to spread out and get ready with your closest friends.
While Germantown Gables doesn’t offer linens and tableware, they work with several Louisville wedding vendors who do! One such vendor is Classie Designs Event Company who did all of the table designs you see below. They also offer full and partial wedding planning services and are such a great resource to have on your wedding team!
All in all, Germantown Gables is definitely a wedding venue to add to your list for your 2025 wedding! If this wasn't enough to convince you, you can give them a call and schedule your venue tour.
If you wanted to go with a different vibe, Whitehall Mansion is another one of my favorite Louisville wedding venues. You can check out the feature I did on their space here.
