Rise Bakery Branding Shoot | Greenville, SC

I love working with brands and small businesses to capture and celebrate what they have to offer the community. Working with Rise Bakery was no different.

Julian started Rise out of his home, baking sourdough bread and selling it from his front porch. He kept it doing throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. In summer of 2021, he started bringing his bread and small collection of pastries to the Traveler’s Rest Saturday Farmer’s Market. Naturally, everyone was wild about what he had to offer. After such a successful market season, Julian made the decision to take the leap from a cottage bakery to opening a brick and mortar shop. In March 2022, Julian opened the doors of Rise Bakery, a welcome addition to the Village of West Greenville.

I’m so excited I had the opportunity to photograph this small business. I love getting to capture all of the behind the scenes moments that go into a business. It truly takes a village, from the bakers showing up at 2am to the front of house team packaging each order to the patrons who are faithful to show up.

I’m certain Rise Bakery has a long future ahead of it, serving the community of Greenville, SC. Hope you enjoy these photos and hopefully can stop by and try some of the wonderful sourdough bread for yourself!
