Lifestyle engagement session in louisville ky

Engagement sessions are one of my favorite ways to connect with couples before their wedding day and for them to have an opportunity to revel in their love and commitment to one another before their wedding day arrives. It was a breezy October evening when I got to capture Blair and Robbie’s engagement photos. We met at Ashland Park in Clarksville, Indiana, one of my favorite spots just over the bridge from Louisville, Kentucky. The park is on the Ohio River and looks out at the Louisville skyline. It was the perfect place for this laid-back, natural light engagement session. 

As a photographer specializing in lifestyle and documentary-style photography, my goal is to capture genuine moments that show off the love and personalities of my clients. Ashland Park, with its beautiful green space and river views, allowed Blair and Robbie to relax and enjoy each other’s company, making my job as their photographer so easy. The chemistry between them was so clear, which I think is so easy to see in the photos. 

One of the reasons I love shooting in natural light is the way it gives a unique look to each client’s photo session. No two days are the same. :) The soft, golden light of late afternoon added a warm, romantic glow to Blair and Robbie’s engagement photos. I’m obsessed with the way the light played off the water, the skyline, and their expressions!

From the moment we started the session, it was clear just how deeply Blair and Robbie care for each other. Their connection was so evident, and it made capturing their engagement photos so much fun. Whether they were laughing together, stealing a quick kiss, or simply holding hands, every moment felt like something to document.
